In an article published in the BBC, 79-year-old Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards shared how his arthritis diagnosis has impacted his guitar playing. Mr. Richards revealed that although his arthritis is “benign” and painless, he has, at times, had to find new ways to play the guitar for the band’s new album Hackney Diamonds. “I found that interestingly, when I’m like, ‘I can’t quite do that anymore,’ the guitar will show me there’s another way of doing it. Some finger will go one space different and a whole new door opens,” Mr. Richards emphasized. “And so you’re always learning. You never finish school,” he concluded.
