Rheumatoid Awareness Day—celebrated annually on February 2—is dedicated to raising awareness for rheumatoid arthritis, educating individuals on the importance of early diagnosis, and improving the quality of life for patients living with the condition. Recent studies have shown that a large contributor to inadequate treatment and advanced rheumatoid arthritis may be a lack of public education centered around the disease. Founded on February 2, 2013, the campaign focuses on correcting misconceptions about the disease and giving advocates and others with rheumatoid arthritis a platform to open up about their experiences and needs.
