The Lupus Research Alliance announced that it has welcomed Stacie J. Bell, PhD, as Executive Vice President of Lupus Therapeutics, the organization’s clinical research affiliate. Dr. Bell comes to her new role after serving as Chief Scientific and Medical Officer of the Department of Research and Medical Affairs at the National Psoriasis Foundation; as well as Founder, Chief Executive Officer, and President of the Global Nutrition Project, where she promoted global health for individuals and the planet. With over 25 years of experience, she is known for utilizing new technologies and available data to drive clinical research and discovery, building community support through strong partnerships that help advance the scientific understanding and treatment of diseases, and for her keen ability to improve patient care standards in immunology and rheumatology. In looking forward to her new role, Dr. Bell emphasized, “I am excited about working with the lupus community to bring together diverse stakeholders, drive patient engagement, and accelerate clinical research for this disease.”
