EULAR announced that it has launched the new EULAR Impact of RMDs Survey to help improve the care standards for patients with rheumatic and musculoskeletal diseases. The new survey was created to gather data on patient-reported outcomes, disease burden, quality of life, receipt of health care, and social and occupational impact for these patients. By collecting this information, the survey may provide valuable insights for researchers and other health-care professionals to help them improve their overall patient care. The survey will ask patients about their demographic and sociographic information as well as several other standardized questions related to their diagnosis and management. There will be follow-up surveys on a biannual basis for longitudinal study, and participants will receive additional disease-specific subquestionnaires when needed. EULAR noted that all information will be de-identified to protect patient privacy and will comply with relevant data privacy regulations.
