The Arthritis Foundation announced that it has received a $1 million donation from the Alpha Omicron Pi Fraternity. The Foundation plans to use the donation to fund research and community support initiatives—such as scholarships, summer camps for pediatric patients with juvenile arthritis, the Childhood Arthritis and Rheumatology Research Alliance Registry, and the Foundation’s helpline—during the 2023–2024 fiscal year. “Members and alumni of [Alpha Omicron Pi] are an important part of our community here at the Arthritis Foundation, and … through their support, we’ve increased awareness and reached even more [patients] and families affected by arthritis,” concluded Steven Taylor, MBA, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Arthritis Foundation.
