The American College of Rheumatology (ACR) announced that is has launched the new Rheumatoid Arthritis Measures Toolkit to provide rheumatologists with access to rheumatoid arthritis outcome measures. The new toolkit includes a variety of resources, such as training guides, copies of the ACR’s recommended outcome measures, sample workflows rheumatologists are using in different electronic health records systems, educational videos covering best practices for gathering rheumatoid arthritis measures, and guidance to help rheumatologists utilize the ACR’s Rheumatology Informatics System for Effectiveness registry. “The information gathered in the toolkit allows our community to learn from both the successes and challenges encountered by our colleagues [with] examples of successful clinic workflows, tips for efficient [rheumatoid arthritis] outcome measure collection, as well as interviews with high-performing practices,” concluded Jinoos Yazdany, MD, MPH, Professor of Medicine and Chief of Rheumatology at San Francisco General Hospital.
