In a press release, the ACR revealed the 50 recipients of its 2023 Master of the ACR and ARP designations, ACR Awards of Distinction, and ARP Awards of Merit and Appreciation—which will be presented at the ACR Convergence 2023 annual meeting. Among the recipients were:
- John Varga, MD, of the University of Michigan, who received the Distinguished Basic/Translational Investigator Award
- Peter A. Merkel, MD, MPH, of the University of Pennsylvania, who received the Distinguished Clinical Investigator Award
- Debashish Danda, MD, DM, FACR, FRCP, MBBS, of the Christian Medical College and Hospital, who received the Distinguished International Rheumatology Professional Award
- Erin Lois Arnold, MD, of Arnold Arthritis and Rheumatology, who received the Distinguished Service Award
- Hazel L. Breland, PhD, ORT/L, FAOTA, of the Medical University of South Carolina, who received the ARP Addie Thomas Service Award
- Jillian Rose-Smith, PhD, MPH, MSW, of the Hospital for Special Surgery, who received the ARP Ann Kunkel Advocacy Award.
