Baptist Health South Florida announced that Jessica McCarrick, MD, has joined the Miami Cancer Institute as a medical and surgical dermatologist. Dr. McCarrick comes to Miami Cancer Institute after serving as a dermatologist at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Delaware and founding the dermatology department at a small hospital in Delaware. Fluent in both Spanish and English and having researched dermatology in skin of color, she hopes to use her patient-first approach to adapt her care methods to each patient’s situation. “Providing personalized care to each patient is important to me. I am humbled and honored to help [patients] distressed by their skin conditions and to diagnose skin cancers they are unaware of,” Dr. McCarrick concluded.
