The American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) announced the launch of its new Generalized Pustular Psoriasis Education Initiative to develop educational resources with the aim of improving the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with generalized pustular psoriasis. With support from Boehringer Ingelheim and powered by OM1’s data aggregation system and its PhenOm artificial intelligence (AI) platform, the new initiative will seek to remodel the care standards for patients with generalized pustular psoriasis by utilizing data from the AAD’s DataDerm dermatology registry and connecting 50 million deidentified patient encounters with the AI-based Patient Finder tool. The AAD hopes the project will improve the understanding of the patients’ journey, treatment patterns, disease progression, and outcomes. The AAD plans to reveal the findings from the first phase of the project at the AAD 2024 Annual Meeting.
