The American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) announced that Terrence A. Cronin, Jr, MD, FAAD, was elected President of the AAD at its 2023 Annual Meeting. Dr. Cronin currently serves as Assistant Voluntary Professor of Dermatology at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. Throughout the coming year, he hopes to use his new position to advocate for novel therapies and techniques, improve the quality of patient care standards, and lead over 20,000 dermatologists as they seek to advance the diagnosis and treatment of patients with skin, hair, and nail conditions. “My goal … is to make sure that dermatologists around the country can continue to … make a difference [for] the many [patients] and their families who are counting on [the AAD],” concluded Dr. Cronin.
