The AAD revealed that five members had been elected to new positions during its 2023 Annual Meeting. Among the electees was Robert S. Kirsner, MD, PhD, FAAD, the Harvey Blank Endowed Professor and Chair of the Dr. Phillip Frost Department of Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, who will serve as the new Vice President of the AAD. In addition, four new board members were announced:

  • Bruce A. Brod, MD, MHCI, FAAD, Clinical Professor of Dermatology and Associate Dean of Continuing Medical Education at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine and Chair of the AAD Association’s Council on Government Affairs and Health Policy
  • Brent Moody, MD, FACP, FAAD, Chairman of the Public Policy Committee of the American College of Mohs Surgery and a dermatologic surgeon at Heritage Medical Associates
  • Todd Schlesinger, MD, FAAD, Clinical Preceptor at the College of Health Professions and Affiliate Assistant Professor at the Medical University of South Carolina College of Medicine, Clinical Instructor at the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine, and Founder and Director of the Clinical Research Center of the Carolinas and the Dermatology & Laser Center of Charleston
  • Allison T. Vidimos, MD, RPh, FAAD, Professor and Chairman of the Department of Dermatology as well as Vice Chairman of the Dermatology and Plastic Surgery Institute at the Lerner College of Medicine at Case Western Reserve University, and President of the Ohio Dermatological Association.
